shown in the following illustration, with the ca-
ble passing under the two hooks in section D and
through the two grooves in section E on the front
cover.

11 . Stationary Knife

Required jigs and tools: Electric screwdriver (Driver bit 2)
(1) Turn off the printer and unplug it from the elec-

trical outlet.
(2) Remove the front cover unit to the procedure de-
scribed in item 7.
(3) Removal

[Tightening torque : 0.5±0.1 N . m]

• PF roller bearing 3
• Platen unit 4
• Two screws 5
[Tightening torque : 0.8±0.2 N . m]
• Earth plate 6
• Upper guide unit 7

[Tightening torque : 0.7±0.2 N . m]

Note1: The cutter unit and the stationary knife must
always be replace at the same time.
installation position of the cutter unit , refer to
the item 3.
2: Lubricate the cutter unit after re-placement.
(Refer to item2 of chapter 2.)
3: When assembling, be sure to always use a new
stop ring. Never reuse one.
4: When installing the upper guide unit, make
sure the BM sensor cable is not caught between
the platen holders.
