LED Technology All Avlite lights use the latest advancements in LED (Light Emitting Diode) technology as a light source. The major ad- vantage of LED’s over traditional light sources is well established in that they typically have an operational life in excess of 100,000 hours, resulting in substantial savings to maintenance and servicing costs. -

3.0 AV-OL-CMI Model This AV-OL-CMI is a combined medium intensity LED obstruction light designed to comply with FAA L-864,865,866,885 or ICAO Type A,B, or C (including applicable combinations). The model can be used for both day and night operation depending on product type and can be used for marking obstacles from 60 metres above ground. 6.0 Operation and Setup Avlite’s AV-OL-CMI is a robust wired LED light. The light fixture is available in universal DC input and can be configured to operate 24 hours a day, illuminated white for day time operation and red for night time operation (depending on product type). -

Mount the CMI fixture directly to the top of the tower or installation structure by either securing it to the mounting plate or by attaching an optional Avlite Right Angle Pole Mounting Bracket (for medium intensity fixtures) to the tower and bolting the CMI to the bracket. - Page 12 DC Power Connection The unit is designed to operate from a nominal DC voltage from 36V to 48V. General Purpose Inputs and Outputs The AV-OL-CMI fixture supports a minimum of five discrete IOs via General Purpose Inputs (2) and Outputs (3) in order to meet monitoring requirements as well as provide compatibility with our obstruction lighting controllers. The I/O configurations must be specified at the time of order. -

In Always On mode, the daylight sensor is disabled and the lantern will remain ON. In Standby mode, the lantern is turned off and the daylight sensor is disabled.
