Installing and Configuring Enhanced DFS 3.0

To Install and Configure Enhanced DFS

To Install and Configure Enhanced DFS
The update procedure for Enhanced DFS is the same whether the
predecessor product DFS 1.7 is configured or not. To directly map the EFS
3.0 product to any of its predecessors, use the "Match what target has"
option in the "Actions" pulldown of the swinstall GUI. If you are not
familiar with use of the swinstall GUI please consult the swinstall man
page.
As an alternative, you can install from the command line; however the
"Match what target has" option is not supported in this mode. As root,
execute the following command:
/usr/sbin/swinstall -x autoreboot=true 'Bundle'
where 'Bundle' is B5516BA_APZ, Client or B5517BA_APZ, Server.
NOTE:
The execution of this command reboots your system when the installation is
complete.
It is not necessary to manually save any configuration data or to swremove the
predecessor products, the installation performs those duties.
The product installation halts if the Core Operating System prerequisites are not
satisfied.
The product installation proceeds if Non Core Operating System corequisites are not
satisfied. Information about which corequisites were not met can be found in
/var/adm/sw/swagent.log
This invocation can also be used for new installations of Enhanced DFS 3.0.
