Configuring a DFS Fileset Location Database

Configuring a DFS Fileset Location Database
Each cell that uses DFS requires at least one Fileset Location Database
(FLDB) server. If you are configuring a DFS System Control server, you
should do so before configuring the DFS FLDB server.
When you configure an FLDB server, a File server can also be configured
automatically, depending on the setting of the
CONFIG_DFS_FLDB_ONLY environment variable. A setting of "no"
(default) causes a File Server to be automatically configured; "yes" causes
only an FLDB server to be configured; if the environment variable is not set,
a prompt appears asking if you want to configure a File server in addition to
the FLDB.
Set the CONFIG_DFS_FLDB_ONLY environment variable before starting
dce_config if you want to configure only the FLDB without the File server.
To configure an FLDB server, perform the following steps:
1 From the Additional Server Configuration Menu, choose 6 (DFS Fileset Location
Database Server):
Additional Server Configuration Menu (on hostname)
selection: 6
S:****** Configuring DFS Fileset Location Database

Enter Cell Administrator's principal name:(cell_admin)
Enter password:
