Handling of AC servo amplifier batteries for the
United Nations Recommendations on the
Transport of Dangerous Goods
To reflect the United Nations Recommendations on the Transport of Dangerous Goods (hereinafter Recommendations of the
United Nations), we have modified the description on the package for AC servo amplifier batteries since January 2009. The
description complies with transport regulations for lithium metal batteries in the Technical Instruction (ICAO-TI) by the
International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and the International Maritime Dangerous Goods Code (IMDG Code) by the
International Maritime Organization (IMO).
The above change will not affect the function or performance of the product.
This section describes the handling of lithium metal batteries in air transportation that has been changed in response to the
IATA (International Air Transport Association) Dangerous Goods Regulations 63rd Edition issued on January 1, 2022, and the
handling of lithium metal batteries in maritime transportation that has also been changed.
