Installing the Scanner Software
Macintosh
The following procedures are for installing the software onto the Macintosh
platform. For Windows, see page 22.
1 Confirm that the scanner is correctly attached to

the computer.

• Check that the AC adapter is plugged into the scanner, and the
power cord into the electrical outlet.
2 Turn the computer power on.
• Turn on the other peripheral devices attached to the computer.
Refer to the manuals accompanying each device for instructions on
the correct order in which to turn on each device.
3 Place the CanoScan Setup Utility CD-ROM in the
computer drive.
• Language select window will display to select your language, then the
following window will automatically display.
• If the menu window fails to display, double-click the [CanoScan
FB1200S] icon, then the [setup] icon.
