On the right hand side of your keyboard there is an e-mail light
to indicate when you have received new mail messages. With
the Internet Time feature you can specify a time for your
computer to connect to your Internet Service Provider (ISP) and
check for new mail while you are away.
Follow these steps to change the mail checking settings.
1. Click Start >> Settings >> Control Panel.
2. Double-click Digital Dashboard.
3. On the General Settings tab, make sure the Enable Digital
Dashboard box is checked.
4. On the Internet Time tab, make sure the Enable Internet
Time box is checked and verify the time settings.
Important: telephone charges may apply.
5. On the E-Mail Waiting tab, make sure the Enable E-mail
Waiting box is checked.
6. On the Dial Up Settings tab, enter the information to auto-
dial your ISP.
You can disable either the mail checking feature or the Internet
Time feature by clearing the Enable box on the appropriate tab.
