Tables 4 and 5 show examples of the maximum number of PoE or PoE+ ports that can be supported by the
Switch 8206zl and 5406zl . Table 4 shows the maximum number of PoE ports at full power (Class 0—15 .4
watts), and the next section shows the maximum number of PoE ports at phone power (8 watts) for each
configuration . Table 5 shows the maximum number of PoE+ ports at full power (Class 4—30 watts), and
the next section shows the maximum number of PoE ports at full power (Class 0—15 .4 watts) for each
configuration . These categories are further subdivided based on whether a second internal power supply is
used to provide power redundancy in the event one of the power supplies fails .
NOTE: Two 875 W internal power supplies cannot supply sufficient PoE power to a Switch 8206zl and 5406zl
fully populated with 24-port line interface modules (144 ports) . Two 1500 W power supplies can be used to
supply full PoE power (15 .4 watts) to 116 ports .
