ASSEMBLING THE HAND CHISEL REST The standard tool rest for hand Fig 4 chisels is used as follows: 1. Set the chisel rest holder (54) on the lathe bed and secure in position with the securing plate (53) and the bolt/washer (51/52) as shown in Fig 4.
SPEED CONTROL 1. Set the speed using the speed Fig 5 control lever as shown in Fig 5. Always set the lever to the lowest setting before switching the machine on or off. • The following settings serve as an approximate guide (given that the control is only marked 600>2200rpm).
