Using OS/2 Warp 4.0
Installing OS/2 Warp 4.0

To install sound support

Although OS/2 Warp 4 includes sound support for the HP OmniBook, it does not
support sound in Windows sessions. Sound in Windows sessions requires the
installation of the sound drivers that shipped with the OmniBook.
Requirements
OmniBook 2000/5700 with OS/2 Warp 4.0 Installed.
HP OmniBook drivers for sound support.
Location: OmniBook hard drive or Recovery CD in
\OMNIBOOK\DRIVERS\OS2\SOUND.
1. Open an OS/2 Command Prompt.
2. Go to the MMOS2 directory and type MINSTALL.
3. Select the drive and directory containing the sound drivers.
4. Confirm that Crystal Audio and IBMOPL3 FM MIDI are selected, then click
Install. (Do not install IBM MPU-401 MIDI, it is built into OS/2 Warp 4.0).
5. Click Yes to accept changes to CONFIG.SYS file.
6. Click OK to choose one Crystal Audio device.
7. Click OK to choose one IBM OPL3 FM MIDI Synthesis device.
8. Click OK to confirm that the CONFIG.SYS has been changed.
9. Click OK and remove the disk from drive A.
10. Shut down and restart OS/2 Warp 4.0.
