Installing Cards
This section describes how to install the following:
Xircom Ethernet IIps PC card.
3Com 3C562 EtherLink III LAN+33.6 Modem PC card.
Intel EtherExpress PRO/100B PCI LAN adapter.
To install a Xircom Ethernet IIps PC card
Requirements
OmniBook 2000/5700 with OS/2 Warp 4.0 installed.
Xircom Ethernet IIps PC card.
Xircom Drivers Disk v2.30.
OS/2 Warp 4.0 Installation CD-ROM.
The Xircom Ethernet IIps card works in OS/2 only with a point enabler. Disable PC
card support for the slot in which you will use the Xircom card.
1. Open an OS/2 Window.
2. Type: E C:\CONFIG.SYS
3. Change the line BASEDEV=SS2PCI2.SYS /SO=2 to
BASEDEV=SS2PCI2.SYS/IGO=2
4. Save and exit the file.
Configuration
Interrupt (INT): 11.
IO Address: 320.
Memory Address: D200.
Socket: 2.
This procedure assumes that OS/2 Warp networking has not yet been installed.
