Voltage Measurement

Do not attempt to measure more than 750 VAC or 1000 VDC. Electric
shock can result.
Failure to observe this warning may result in serious injury or death.
Do not change the position of the selector switch when the test leads
are connected to a component or circuit. Damage to the meter can
result.
1. Plug the black test lead into the COM input terminal, and plug the red test lead into the
V/
input terminal.
2. Set selector switch to the appropriate range.
Note: When measuring an unknown voltage, start at the highest range.
3. Touch the test leads to the circuit under test and read the display.
Note: If the resolution of the reading is not satisfactory, disconnect the meter from the circuit
and switch to the next lower range. Reconnect the meter to the circuit and read the
display. Repeat this procedure until the resolution is satisfactory.
Electric shock hazard:
Contact with live circuits can result in severe
injury or death.
