Causes / Solutions
Check the following.
- Check that your wireless access point/router is turned on.
- Check that the network cable of your wireless access
point/router is plugged in.
The wireless connection was incorrectly set up.
Check the settings for the SSID and security information
(SSID/authentication method/encryption method/network
password (key)).
Firstly, check the wireless LAN connection indicator on
your machine.
• When the wireless LAN connection indicator is off:
Wait a while until it is turned on (green).
If it is still off after waiting for a while, click [Connect] to
make the connection.
Make sure that the machine and PC connection must be on
the same network.
• When the wireless LAN connection indicator is on (green):
Click [Retry] on the screen to search your machine again.
If this error message is repeatedly displayed, the machine
and PC may be on different networks.
Check the SSID of the machine and PC respectively as
follows.
- To check the machine's SSID:
From the machine's settings screen, select [1.Network],
[5.Others], and then select [3.SSID].
The machine's SSID is displayed.
- To check the computer's SSID:
Mouse over the wireless LAN signal icon on the desktop.
If the SSIDs are different, click [Connect] on the screen to
make the connection again.
Make sure that the machine and PC connection must be on
the same network.
The software version of your access point/router may be
outdated.
Please check your router's manufacturer's website for the
latest software version, and update your router.
After completing the update, try to set up the wireless
connection.
Check the following.
- Check that the settings for the SSID and security
information (SSID/authentication method/encryption
method/network password (key)) have been correctly
specified.
- Check the status of the network connection.
- A network connection has not yet been established. Wait a
while, and then try connecting again.
The proxy settings are incorrect.
Check the proxy settings of your wireless network and your
machine.
A network error occurred during communication.
Check the following.
- Check that your wireless access point/router is turned on.
- Check that the network cable of your wireless access
point/router is plugged in.
This message appears when you try to transfer data with a
machine different than the one registered with
ScanNCutCanvas. Register the machine again.
