Chapter 2 Preparations
10. Put the FBU that comes with N8103-168 on
battery tray in the direction as shown in the
figure.
11. Engage the claws of FBU bracket provided into
holes (2 places) to fix the FBU, as shown in the
figure.
12. Secure the FBU bracket with one screw
provided.
13. Place the battery tray to its original position, and
secure it with two screws removed in Step 9.
At this time, make sure to route the SATA0 cable
is placed over the FBU bracket mounting screw.
14. Route the FBU cable as shown in the figure below. For the left server module, route the cable through
cable ties (2 places) and cooling sponge, and fix it. Strip off the lower part of cooling sponge a little to
insert the cable. The sponge may be damaged if you strip off the sponge excessively, so care must be
taken. Fold the excess length of cable between the backplane and the fan (shown by the circle). For the
right server module, route the cable under the cooling sponge and the power cable, and fix it. Fold the
excess length of cable between the backplane and the fan (shown by the circle).
Important
The cooling sponge is made of soft material, and easy to break by excess force.
Do not lift the end of sponge forcedly to expand it when disconnecting the cable.
