Add ARP
To add an ARP policy, use the following procedure:
Click Add ARP, The Policy Settings page.
Enter a number in the Policy Index field. The Policy Index is a unique number
within the range of 1 – 256 which identifies the policy. This field is mandatory.
Enter a number in the VLAN ID field. A unique number identifying a VLAN
ranging from 1 to 4094.
Enter a number in the 802.1q Priority field. Enter the priority level of the frame
ranging from 0 – 7.
Choose the parameters to add for the policy, and enter data one or more of the
parameters required for your policy. They are listed here:
o
Source MAC Address - Specifies the source MAC address. The format
is xx.xx.xx.xx.xx.xx.
o
MAC Address Mask - Indicates mask for the Source MAC Address. The
format is xx.xx.xx.xx.xx.xx.
o
ARP / RARP: In the field, use the pull down menu to select one of the
following parameters
Any: This selection allows the switch to automatically choose
ARP or RARP
ARP: This selection allows the sender's IP address to
communicate to the target's MAC address
RARP: This selection allows the sender's Mac address to
communicate to the target's IP address

Request / Reply: In the field, use the pull down menu to select one of
the following parameters
Any: This selection allows the switch to automatically chose
Reply or Request
Request: This selection allows the target device to request
from the source
Reply: This selection allows the target device to only reply to
the source
o
Sender IP Address - Specifies the IP address of the sender
o
Mask Length – Indicates the length of the Sender IP Address ranging
from 1 – 32

Target IP Address - Specifies the IP address of the sender
o
Mask Length – Indicates the length of the Sender IP Address ranging
from 1 – 32

Policy Action – Indicates if the policy will be Permitted or Denied.
o
Policy Action: In the Permit/Deny field, use the pull down menu to
select one of the following parameters:
Deny - This selection drops ingress packets that conform to
the specified Replaced-CoS or Replaced-DSCP.
Permit - This selection allows ingress packets that conform to
the specified Replaced-CoS or Replaced-DSCP to be
processed by the switch.
Note: You must enter a selection for Deny/Permit field even if the
Profile Action ID that you have entered ignores both the Replaced-
DSCP and Replaced-CoS fields.

Rate Control Index: The Rate Control Index is a unique number within
the range of 1 - 65535. This field is mandatory and must match a Port
List Index that has been previously entered on the Policy Index.
o
Ingress Port List: Select the interface for which you want to display data.
Add IPv4
To add an IPv4 policy, use the following procedure:
Click Add IPv4, The Policy Settings page.
Enter a number in the Policy Index field. The Policy Index is a unique number
within the range of 1 – 256 which identifies the policy. This field is mandatory.
