Important Remarks
The INTRAmatic handpiece is:
- intended only for use within dentistry as part of dental treatment; any form of misuse
or modifications to the product are prohibited and may cause a hazard.
- a medical product according to the applicable national provisions of law.
In conformity with these regulations, the INTRAmatic handpiece may only be used by
a competent person for the described application, and under consideration of:
- the valid regulations on work safety,
- the valid accident prevention measures,
- these operating instructions.
In conformity with these regulations it is the duty of the user:
- to use only faultless tools,
- to ensure that it is used for the correct purpose,
- to protect patients and third parties from all dangers,
- to avoid any contamination by the product.

Technical Data
INTRAmatic handpiece 10 CH
Drive speed: max. 40,000 rpm.
Identification marks: 1 blue ring
Transmission: 1:1
Straight burs with a 2.35 mm shaft may be inserted.
Contra-angle burs with a 2.35 mm shaft may only be
inserted after modification.
Putting into Operation
The handpiece should be sterilised before
being operated for the first time.
Connecting to the drive motor
Starting only with closed chuck, otherwise
the handpiece will be jammed.
Connection
Fit the handpiece onto the motor coupling until it
audibly slots in.
Before each treatment check by pulling if
handpiece is fixed on motor coupling.
Disconnection
Withdraw the handpiece from the motor coupling in
direction of the shaft, while turning slightly.
Do not fit or remove handpiece with motor
running, to prevent damaging the driver.

Use according to the manufacturer’s instructions for use. External and internal disinfection Using Miele thermal disinfector G 7881.
- Page 4 If damaged, irregular noise when running, too much vibration, too much drill impact or if drill is not held, do not carry on. To avoid further damage, please contact the KaVo Customer Service Center at Warthausen, or a KaVo authorised office or your Dental Depot.
