  • Page 3 Intended Use The BPBIO320S is a digital monitor intended for use in measuring blood pressure and pulse rate in user population with upper arm circumference ranging from 17cm to 42cm (7-inch to 17-inch). The systolic blood pressure and diastolic blood pressure are measured by non-invasive blood pressure (“NIBP”) measuring method.

    Plug Type B or F B. Operating Environment Please make sure the environment is adequate for the BPBIO320S installation. This equipment is designed for indoor use. If installing the equipment outdoors, the following requirements must be fulfi lled: Temperature range 5 to 40ºC (41 to 104ºF)

    C. Installation Instructions 1. Open the BPBIO320S box, and remove the air cushion (small size). Unfold the air cushion (large size) and take out the BPBIO320S from the box, and then remove the protective box. Take off the protective vinyl out of the BPBIO320S, and remove the packing material.
  • Page 8 2. Place the equipment on a solid table that can withstand the weight of the BPBIO320S (approx. 9kg (20 lb)). If desk for the BPBIO320S is available, align the grooves on the bottom of the BPBIO320S with the grooves on the desk and secure them with two fi xing screws.

When the BPBIO320S is turned on, the following screen is displayed and a calibration is automatically performed. Caution Do not operate or touch the device while it is calibrating. It may cause errors to future tests.

    Paper cut with scissors Ripped paper 2) Open the cover by pressing ‘PUSH’ while the BPBIO320S is turned on. 3) If the device is being used for the first time, remove the protective paper located inside. * The protective paper (thermal printing paper) is in the printer groove. Pull upward to remove it.

    The cuff cover of the BPBIO320S should be replaced periodically for sanitary purposes. Follow the guide below to replace the cuff cover. 1. Remove the front cover of the BPBIO320S by pushing downward. Loosen the screw with a screwdriver. Screws Front Cover 2.

Blood Pressure Evaluation 1) While on the home screen, press and hold button and UP (▲) button at the same time for more than 2 seconds. 2) When 111 is displayed in the systolic blood pressure column, diastolic blood pressure column, and pulse column as shown below, the blood pressure evaluation has been disabled.

    2. Connect the multi-display device cable to the SUB DISPLAY connection terminal on the back of the device while the BPBIO320S is turned off . Then connect the other end of the display device cable to connection terminal on the left of the display device.

    1. Turn off the BPBIO320S. * If the BPBIO320S is already turned on while being connected to the InBody, the connection may not be smooth. 2. Connect the serial cable to the RS232C (9-pin serial) connection terminal located on the back of the BPBIO320S.

    Make sure the power cord is not a tripping hazard. • The BPBIO320S calibrates automatically when it is turned on. But it may be necessary for a specialist to inspect the device once every two years to maintain its performance and safety. If an error message appears during the selftest, please contact product support.
