DVS Fast Charging System
S
An open in the charge path may cause over-voltage faults. Check for opens at the
contactors and output cables. Check to ensure the Control Board connectors P12 (Output
Voltage Sense) and P15 (To Contactors) are properly seated. Check that all wire crimps
are secure. A loose connection or faulty contactor in the high current path may cause
undercurrent faults. Check the Charger current sensor connections, verify that the
contactors are closing and check for any loose connections. If this does not correct the
problem, the Control Board should be replaced. Contact your Authorized DVS/MVS 330
Fast Charging System Service Provider.
T
Shut down the unit and check for shorts or problems in the output cable. Check current
sensors and check their harnesses P11/P12 for continuity.
U
Not used
V
Indicates one or both of the Port A IGBTs (transistors) have faulted. Transistor faults
may be caused by excessive heat. Allow the Charger to cool down before re-starting the
charge. If the faults continue, contact your Authorized DVS/MVS 330 Fast Charging
System Service Provider.
W
A poor connection or faulty contactor may cause voltage mismatch faults. Check all
connections to the output contactors carefully. If the contactor requires replacement,
contact your Authorized DVS/MVS 330 Fast Charging System Service Provider.
X
Indicates that the 150V DC Buss dropped below 110V or rose above 170V. There may
be a miss-wire in the utility wiring to the Charger. Contact your Authorized DVS/MVS
330 Fast Charging System Service Provider.
Y
If there is no sign of excessive heat, a temperature fault may indicate a faulty temperature
switch. Contact your Authorized DVS/MVS 330 Fast Charging System Service
Provider.
Z
Check to make sure that your battery pack is properly wired to the output connector, and
that there are no shorted or damaged cells. Check that connector P12 on the Control
Board is properly seated and that all pins are making contact. If the problem continues,
contact your Authorized DVS/MVS 330 Fast Charging System Service Provider.
AA Allow the unit to cool down, and verify that the AC input wiring is correct and the intake
and exhaust vents are clear of blockage. Re-start the charge. If the unit overheats again,
contact your Authorized DVS/MVS 330 Service Provider.
BB Charge was terminated before scheduled end. If not terminated by user, check Table 7.1
for possible causes.
CC Check the AC input with a Multimeter to ensure that all three phases are connected and at
the correct voltage. If input power is correct, and the problem persists, contact your
authorized DVS/MVS 330 Fast Charging System Service Provider.
DD Check the utility line voltage. If the voltage is more than 10% below the rated value,
remove other loads from circuit. If the voltage problem persists, contact your local utility
company.
EE Exposure to excessive moisture or corrosive environments may cause intermittent faults.
Corroded parts should be replaced.
