5 Adjusting the Throttle Cable

WARNING
The cutting attachment may drop and cause inju‐
ries.
Use the machine only with a properly mounted
guide (3) that is in good condition.
► Fit the cutting attachment (1) in the fork‐
head (2) and line it up with the holes in the
forkhead (2) and guide (3). The tip of the
sickle or the chisel's hook must face the
ground.
► Insert the screws (4) through the holes in the
forkhead, cutting attachment and guide.
► Fit nuts (5) on the screws and use combina‐
tion wrench to tighten them down firmly.

► Fit the cutting attachment (1) in the fork‐

Mounting the Guard
Guard kit helps protect the powerhead when it is
put down.
► Mount the guard as described in the instruc‐
tions supplied with the guard kit.

Adjusting the Throttle
Cable
A properly adjusted throttle cable is the precondi‐
tion for correct operation in the full throttle, start‐
ing throttle and idle positions.
