    INTENDED USE AND FEATURES 1. Intended use ■The Multiple Medical Recliner is designed to be used in the treatment of dialysis patients and in the drawing of blood samples from patients at medical institutions. ※Please refer to the SPECIFICATION for the patient target groups, the intended users, and the clinical benefits.

[Safety label] ●Precautions requiring special attention by persons using the recliner are affixed as pictured in the figure. ●If the safety label is removed or defaced, replace it with a new one obtained from Paramount Bed or your distributor.
  • Page 6 SAFETY PRECAUTIONS ■Be careful not to allow any part of the body (especially the head or neck) to slip into the gaps between the moving parts shown below. ●When the head or neck enters the gap, the patient might not be able to withdraw, and there is a risk of injury.
  • Page 7 ■For suitable product directly attached to the recliner such as the IV Pole attachment, or foot rest, use only products approved by Paramount Bed. ●The use of products other than the specified suitable products or products from other companies could create unintended gaps, cause interference between products, or lower stability, resulting in injury or failure of the recliner.
  • Page 8 SAFETY PRECAUTIONS ■When the backrest or leg rest are in the horizontal position, do not rest hands on or sit on their ends. ●Otherwise, the patient could fall off or falling down, resulting in injury. ●These actions may lower the product stability and the recliner could fall off, resulting in injury or the recliner could be damaged.
  • Page 9 ■Do not perform any angle adjustment when the patient is lying face down or on their side (in any posture other than lying face up). ●There is a risk of injury caused by extending the joints backward. ■Do not allow the recliner to be operated by a child aged 12 or under, or someone deemed incapable of comprehending the operation of the recliner.
  • Page 10 ●If recliners are damaged in earthquakes, fires, or floods or other incidents, direct requests for contact Paramount Bed or your distributor. Otherwise, there is a risk of electric shock or fire due to short circuit or current leakage from electrical parts, or injury due to malfunctioning caused by deformation of the recliner.
  • Page 11 ■The recliner should not be used by two or more persons. ●This recliner is designed for use by one person. When used by two or more persons, the recliner could be damaged, possibly causing injury. The maximum user weight allowed on the recliner is 138kg.
  • Page 12 SAFETY PRECAUTIONS ■Check around the recliner before moving the recliner. ●If the recliner hits surrounding objects, the objects or the recliner may be damaged. ■Take care when handling electrical parts such as the handheld controller. ●If care is not taken it could cause the recliner to malfunction, resulting in injury or recliner failure. In addition, there is a risk of electric shock or fire due to a short circuit.

    INSTALLATION ■To avoid possible malfunctions, do not install the recliner in the following locations. ●Locations expose to direct sunlight ●Locations near heat sources such as a stove or heater ●Location which is heavily electrically charged such as near an MRI. ●Location that has a high oxygen level ●Locations exposed to excessive amounts of water vapor or oil vapor ●Location that tend to be exposed to high temperatures, high humidity, low temperatures or...

    CONNECTING TO THE POWER SUPPLY ●Do not connect multiple cables to a single power outlet. if other electrical equipment is plugged into a power outlet or an extension cable and its rated capacity is exceeded, it could cause the cable or plug to overheat, resulting in fire.

    USING THE RECLINER 1. Armrest ■In the chair position, the armrest is used to rest elbows and upper limbs. ■The patient can lower the armrest to flat position when getting on or off the recliner. ■The patient can also use the armrest as side-guard at flat position.     USING THE RECLINER 3. Handheld controller ●Do not allow the recliner to be operated by a child aged 12 or under, or someone deemed incapable of comprehending the operation of the recliner. If a child aged 12 or under, or someone deemed incapable of comprehending the operation (such as persons with dementia) operates the handheld controller by themselves, there is a risk of unexpected injury such as the body getting caught in the recliner by accident.

The recliner could move when a patient gets into or out of the recliner, possibly causing injury. ●Raise the armrest.     USING THE RECLINER 5. Emergency back-lowering function ●When performing the emergency back-lowering operation, take care to prevent body parts from getting caught. When the body parts get caught, there is a risk of injury. In particular, before performing the operation, check that nothing is caught in behind the backrest. ■Manual emergency back-lowering function ●Use the emergency back-lowering lever to lower the backrest rapidly in case of emergency, such as the patient fainting due to anemia or a similar condition or a power failure.
