Standby

To conserve power, reduce noise and allow for immediate us of the aspirator, the aspirator has a
"Standby" feature.
To start and stop Standby, press the Standby button. When Standby is active:
Standby displays in the Alarm Message Center (AMC)
The vacuum pump is de-energized, not flowing (zero RPM)
The LCD is dimmed
The LED array alternates Green/Yellow to indicate the device status
When standby is stopped, by pressing the Standby button, the aspirator immediately begins
operation with the last settings.

Pause

To minimize risk to the patient, the device enters a Pause state where the device waits for input
form the user.
Pause displays in the Alarm Message Center (AMC)
The vacuum pump is de-energized, not flowing (zero RPM)
The bleed valve relieves pressure
The LED array alternates Green/Yellow to indicate the device status
Pause occurs whenever the device switches between modes (Continuous and Intermittent) to
prevent patient exposure to an unintended vacuum level. The Pause state ends as soon as the
user enters a vacuum level.
