2.4.2 Connect the TruDose Chemical
Controller to the Jandy TruClear
Saltwater Chlorinator
Disconnect power to the system at the main circuit
breaker before performing this procedure to avoid
risk of electric shock which can result in property
damage, severe injury or death.
1. Punch out the left bottom hole (located in the low
voltage section) in the bottom of the TruClear XL
power pack.
2. Install the bushing that was provided with the
TruClear XL power pack into the punch-out hole.

3. Remove the connector with a flathead screwdriver
that is on the end of the TruDose 24VDC cable.
NOTE:
The RS-485 connection must be removed to
activate the ORP control through the
TruClear XL system with info provided through
the iAquaLink app.

4. Insert the TruDose 24VDC cable through the newly
installed punch-out hole and bushing in the bottom
of the TruClear XL power pack.
5. Install the 2 pins of the TruDose 24VDC cable to
the ORP connector J16 located on the TruClear XL
power board. The top of the connector is removable
to make installation easier.

CAUTION
6. Move down the ORP jumper on the TruClear XL
power center Power Interface Board (PIB) from
XL
Position 1 (default) to Position 2.

NOTE: "EC" will be displayed on the saltwater
chlorinator when the chlorination is OFF.
Once the unit turns on, the chlorine generator
will not respond to any changes during the
first minute of operation. The unit may appear
to be STUCK IN "EC" mode. Wait several
minutes until the unit has warmed up to
verify the chlorinator has responded to being
turned on.
NOTE: Multiple chlorine generators can be linked
together to be controlled with one ORP
controller without the use of external relays
and transformers. Contact the factory for more
information.

J14 = location of the ORP jumper on the AquaPure
board. Must move up to Position 2.
J15 = location of the ORP connector on the AquaPure
board. Insert the 24VDC cable here.
J16 = location of the ORP connector on the TruClear XL
board. Insert the 24VDC cable here.
J17 = location of the ORP jumper on the TruClear XL
board. Must move down to Position 2.
