outside of the current limits for each of those axis, the antenna will display an INVALID DATA
prompt. See section 5.2.1 for more information.

4. Automatic Movement – The controller will first position the antenna and then adjust
polarization. When the antenna is moving the antenna position will be displayed.

During an automatic move, antenna movement can be stopped at any time by pressing the
Stop key. The antenna movement will be controlled by the Config mode items outlined in
section 5.9.7 xx – Auto Move Config, Fast/Slow Threshold, Retry Attempts, Fast Deadband,
Slow Deadband, Coast Threshold, and Max Position Error.
When the automatic move is complete, control will transfer to Manual mode.
Note At power down, the Polarotor probe may slightly shift position. At power up, the CONTROL-1500
will position the polarotor probe at the last commanded Polarotor position. When the CONTROL-1500
is interfaced to a Polarotor the controller should be left on.

4.2.1 Invalid Data

In step 2 of the procedure outlined above, the user selects the satellite that will be the target of
the automatic move. When a satellite is selected, the controller checks the validity of the data
associated with the satellite. If the antenna position or polarization data associated with the
entry is outside of the current limits for each of those axis, the antenna will display the following

INVALID DATA AUT
Here are the most likely events that lead to the Invalid Data message.
1. The user programs a satellite into the controller's non-volatile memory and later changes
the antenna or polarization limits (the Polarotor has fixed limits that cannot be adjusted by
the user).
2. The antenna or polarization position was at or past the limit associated with either of these
axis when the satellite was originally programmed into the controller's non-volatile memory.
