Caution! The diagonal seat belt section 5
must never be routed forward to the vehic-
le's belt deflector.
Tip! In this event, use the vehicle child safe-
ty seat on the rear bench seat or set the
front-passenger seat in such a way that the
diagonal belt 5 runs at an angle towards the
rear.
8. Tighten the vehicle seat belt by pulling
on the diagonal seat belt section 5.
Checklist to ensure that your child is

For the safety of your child, please check that:
• the lap belt section 10 is routed through
the belt guides 11 on both sides of the
seat cushion
• the diagonal seat belt section 5 on the
side of the vehicle seat belt buckle 9 is
also routed through the belt guide 11 of
the seat cushion

• the diagonal seat belt section 5 is rout-
ed through the dark red belt holder 6 of
the headrest
• the diagonal seat belt section 5 is rout-
ed diagonally backward
• the straps are tight and not twisted

KIDFIX child seat
• the vehicle seat belt buckle 9 is not po-
sitioned between the belt guide 11 and
the armrest of the seat cushion.

Care instructions

Retaining the protective effect
• In an accident at a collision speed above
10 km/h the child safety seat could suf-
fer damage which is not necessarily ob-
vious.
In such cases it is extremely important
that the child seat is inspected by the
manufacturer and replaced, if necessa-
ry.
• Regularly check all important parts for
damage. Ensure the correct operation
of all mechanical components.
• To prevent damage or breakage, ensure
that the child seat does not become
trapped between hard components (ve-
hicle door, seat rail etc.).
• Should the child seat be damaged (for
example after dropping it) it must be in-
spected by the manufacturer.
