KIDFIX warning notes
G
Risk of injury and accident
Pay attention to the traffic situation at all
times. Never make any adjustments to the
child safety seat while the vehicle is in mo-
tion, as this could result in an accident or en-
danger the child, other vehicle occupants or
other road users.
G
Risk of injury
The child safety seat should be fitted in the di-
rection of travel inside the vehicle. Use on a
rear-facing seat (e.g. van, minibus) is permitted
if the seat is approved for the transport of adults
and no airbag can deploy into the area of the
seat.
The child safety seat's protective function is
only ensured when the seat is both fitted and
used properly. Otherwise, the child may not
be properly secured and could be injured in
the event of an accident, sharp braking or a
sudden change of direction. Therefore, be
sure to follow each individual step of the op-
erating instructions precisely. Comply with
the warning notes and safety precautions as
well as the section on occupant safety in the
vehicle Owner's Manual.

G
Risk of injury
The child safety seat must be properly se-
cured inside the vehicle even when a child is
not sitting in it. Otherwise, it could cause in-
jury or damage in the event of an accident,
sharp braking or a sudden change of direc-
tion.
G
Risk of injury
The plastic parts of the child safety seat be-
come hot when exposed to direct sunlight.
Your child could burn him/herself on these
parts. You should protect your child and the
child safety seat from intense direct sunlight
(e.g. by placing a light cloth over the child
safety seat when it is not in use).
G
Risk of injury
In the event of an accident with an impact
speed exceeding 10 km/h, the child safety
seat could sustain damage that is not imme-
diately apparant. After an accident with an
impact speed exceeding 10 km/h, have the
child safety seat checked by the manufactur-
er and replaced, if necessary.
Regularly check all important parts for dam-
age. Make sure that the mechanical compo-
nents function correctly.
Make sure that the child safety seat does not
become trapped between hard parts of the
vehicle (door, seat rail, etc.), otherwise it
could be damaged.
It is imperative that you have a damaged child
safety seat (e.g. after being dropped)
checked by the manufacturer and replaced if
necessary.
