You can use your child safety seat as
follows:
In the direction of travel
Against the direction of travel
On seats with ISOFIX fastening
points (between seat cushion
and backrest)
(Please observe the regulations applicable
in your particular country).
1) Use is permitted on a rearward-facing vehicle
seat (e.g. in a van or minibus) only if the ve-
hicle seat is also approved for use by adults.
The seat must not be in an area into which
an airbag may deploy.
3) If there is a front airbag: slide well back, ob-
serve any instructions in vehicle Owner's
Manual.
Using the vehicle's lap-shoulder belt

with ECE R 16 or a comparable standard (see
the approval label on the belt with an encircled
"E" or "e").

any instructions in vehicle Owner's Manual.
4) Cannot be used if the vehicle seat is equipped
with only a lap belt.

When you fit a KIDFIX child seat on a front-

passenger seat which is equipped with au-
tomatic child seat recognition, it is detec-
ted by the vehicle. The front airbag is
switched off automatically.
The "PASSENGER AIRBAG OFF" warning
lamp lights up to indicate that the airbags
are disabled. Now you can use the
KIDFIX child seat on the front-passenger
seat.
For the safety of your child, make sure
that:
• the child seat and the vehicle are equip-
ped with automatic child seat recogniti-
on.
