2.
On the front panel observe the "Batt. Charg." display:
Batt. Charg.-LED on: Battery is charged. The lit LED indicates that
the battery is nearly completely charged. The unlit LED indicates that
the battery is completely charged. The darker the LED flashes, the
higher the charging status of the battery is.
The storage time is two years for an average surrounding air temperature of
+25 °C.
Battery damage due to deep discharge
If the storage temperature is unclear or if the storage time has exceeded two
years, check regularly the open-circuit voltage of the battery - as described in
the following section!
To check the open-circuit voltage of the battery, insert a voltmeter between the
fusible wire of fuse F1 (see
terface and with USB interface" on page
UPS damage due to short-circuit
Do not cause a short-circuit during voltage measuring because a measurement
at the fusible wire of the fuse might deactivate its function!
The open-circuit voltage of the battery must not fall below +21 V, as otherwise
the battery cells might be damaged.
For this reason, start the charging process of the battery as of an open-circuit
voltage of +22 V by connecting the UPS to the +24 V supply. Then the charging
process automatically starts.
For transporting the UPS, the plug connection of the battery must be removed,

no connection from the battery to the integrated electronics.
