Figure 10 shows the 4003 panel switches that control the following functions:

The function of each switch is explained in the following paragraphs.

This switch is used to turn ON all of the speaker circuits and start the Evacuation
Tone, Evacuation Message or a combination of both. The red LED above the
switch tracks the Evacuation Tone/Message to indicate when the tone/message is
playing. To restore the system to normal operation, the host panel must be
silenced and reset.
When this switch is placed in the UP position, the All Clear Message (or
"Custom Message") is played. The red LED above the switch tracks the ON
position of the switch. The message stops when the switch is again placed in the
UP position.
