    The movement of the S-M-100 is controlled by the caregiver via a lever located at the foot end of the stretcher.

    NOTE: Side Rails are intended to be a reminder to the patient of the unit’s edges, not a patient-restraining device. When appropriate, Amico recommends that medical personal determine the proper methods necessary to ensure a patient remains safely in stretcher.

    BRAKE / STEER PEDALS WARNING: The Brake/Steer Pedals are located at the foot end of the S-M-100 with a central brake system. WARNING: Unless transporting the patient, always set the brakes when the stretcher is occupied. Confirm that the brakes are set before any patient transfer. Failure to do so may result in personal injury or equipment damage.

    Description of Features STEERING PLUS STEERING SYSTEM The Steering System is optional on the S-M-100 stretcher. The Steering Plus function is used to keep the stretcher moving in a straight line and to make it easier to turn corners. PUSH HANDLES The Push Handles located within the fowler section of the stretcher are used to move the stretcher.

    Side Rails are intended to be a reminder to the patient of the stretcher’s edge, not a patient-restraining device. When appropriate, Amico recommends that medical personnel determine the proper methods necessary to make sure a patient remains safely in the stretcher.

    Parts and Accessories Use only Amico parts and accessories with this stretcher. Do not modify the stretcher without authorization from Amico. Safety Tips OPERATING THE STRETCHER / SURFACE PRECAUTIONS WARNING: Use oxygen administering equipment of the nasal, mask, or ventilator type only - or oxygen tents that can be contained inside the side rails.

    Spray wash comprised of water only should not exceed a temperature of 180°F (82°C). Spray wash comprised of detergent or solvents (no bleach) should not exceed a temperature of 120°F (50°C).     (PM) and testing for Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO). PM and testing not only meet JCAHO requirements, but will help ensure a long operative life for S-M-100 Series stretchers. PM will minimize downtime due to excessive wear.

    Furthermore, Amico Beds Corporation will warrant its material to be free from defect for an additional period of two (2) years (three (3) years from the date of shipment). Within this period, Amico Beds Corporation will replace any part which is proven to be defective, at no charge.
