The number of total or entitlement intervals should be the same for feed types "Feed" and
"Milk Powder".
However the intervals for Feed 6 = Supplementary Feed can be different and can be set to
"3", for example, in order to add medicine to the feed three times a day.
2. Setup for the feeding box
The setup for the feeding box is entered in the menu DPSetup> Equipment> Feeding
Boxes. Double click on the feeding box which you want to select from the list.
NOTE: In the case of a double feeder, ie when two suckling stations are connected to a fee-
der, each suckling station will be set up as an independent feeding box.
If a calf feeder is connected, the program will recognise what type of feeding box it has au-
tomatically by means of the corresponding program chip (under "Transceiver Program Ver-
sion" in the illustration below). For this reason, you should reboot your computer or open
and then close the "DPProcessControl" program before setting up the feeding box. (See ear-
lier on in this operating manual).
Entries on the Feed Computer
Name of the feed, freely modifiable
The type of feed must be specified here. (This
function replaces the "Feed Code" for feed in DP4)
The supply of feed can be entered here. If a value is
entered in the left- -hand field, then this will be ad-
ded to the right- -hand field. (Unit: kg)
Restricts the maximum amount of feed per day or
per interval. (Unit: litre or kg).
Minimum quantity which must be reached before
there is a feed entitlement. Experience has shown
that "1" (litre) should be entered here for feed.

Total/entitlement intervals
This entry is used to specify the amount of feed to
be allocated during the day. If there are 24 intervals
and 20 entitlement intervals, the amount of feed will
be allocated to the first 20 intervals. The remaining
4 intervals are required for allocating any remaining
feed. The setting 24/20 can also be used for calf fee-
ders.
