Active Docking Station (Optional) Problems

If you experience any problems that you cannot resolve, contact your Brother dealer or Brother customer service
for assistance.
Problem
The Charging LED turned off, but the
battery has not fully charged.
The Charging LED flashes in red.
The printer does not turn on when
placed on the Docking Station.
The printer does not print via LAN cable. •

Solution
Charging stopped because the battery became too hot or too cold. Wait
and try charging the battery later.
The Battery is not charged. Make sure the AC Adapter is plugged into
the Active Docking Station.
Wipe the Docking Station Terminals of the Docking Station and the
battery with a dry cloth.
Replace the battery with a new one.
Place the printer on the Docking Station correctly.
Make sure that the AC Adapter is correctly connected.
Reconnect the AC Adapter.
Place the printer on the Docking Station correctly.
Connect the LAN cable correctly.
Select the correct driver in the Devices and Printers. If the Docking
Station is connected, your operating system will also display a copy of
the printer driver icon (for example: Brother RJ-:****WB (Copy 1)) in the
Devices and Printers. Make sure it is not selected.
