EtherNet/IP is based on the Common Industrial Protocol (CIP), which is also the
application layer for DeviceNet and ControlNet, to exchange data between nodes.
Product Features
The Anybus-X contains EtherNet/IP Adapter Class functionality.
As an I/O Server it can respond to requests for I/O messages but it does not gener-
ate such requests. A Scanner device would generate these requests.
The Anybus-X supports Message Server functionality. This means it can act as a
target message requests.
