7.8.3 Sump

TECHNICAL MANUAL GETINGE WD15 CLARO
Note: If you are going to lay the washer on its side, remove
the condenser from the frame and the screw on the side
before you lay down the machine.
Note: Start to assemble your grounding on the pump
motor and the hose to the main pipe.
Removal:
Remove the nut that is on the side of the chamber and the nut that
holds the condenser in the chassis. Try to take out the condenser
or tilt it to the side. Remove the two nuts that are on the bottom of
the chamber. Remove the hose clamps that are holding the ingoing
and outgoing hoses. There are five, three for the circulation pump
and two to the dryer. Disconnect the white contact to the fan motor
and then disconnect the power supply to the circulation pump.
Then remove the grounding to the pump. It is under the pump and
is not easy to see. Then lift off the panel with the fan and pump.
First lift up and then to the side.
Installing:
First put on the panel on the bolts, the one on the side and then the
other ones. Screw the nuts onto the underside and on the side (if
any). Connect the electrical connection to the fan. Connect other
hoses and screw in the hose clamps. Make sure that the hose
clamps are properly attached. Connect the supply to the pump
motor. Install the condenser in the frame and if necessary the bolt
on the side.
Removal:
Remove the hose clamps that are on the outgoing hoses. Remove
the large hose clamp from around the sump. Take the sump out of
the chamber.
Installing:
Adjust the sump so that it is turned in the right direction. Connect
the hoses that go from the sump and screw in the hose clamps.
Transfer the large hose clamp over the sump and bring the sump
over the edge in the chamber bottom. Tighten the hose clamps.
Make sure that there is no leakage in the hose splices.
