4. Tip the muffler guard up towards the fuel tank to dislodge it from the fuel
tank lip.
5. Remove the muffler guard from the engine.

1. Slide the lip of the muffler guard under the lip of the fuel tank.
2. Install the 6 (M6 x 12 mm) bolts securing the muffler guard to the engine.
Torque the bolts to 8.47 N • m (75 in-lb).
