Removing and installing the
cowling
The cowling shown needs to be re-
moved to perform some of the mainte-
nance jobs described in this chapter.
Refer to this section each time the
cowling needs to be removed and in-
stalled.

To remove the cowling
Remove the screws and quick fasten-
ers, then take the cowling off.

TIP
The quick fasteners are removed by
pushing in the center pin and then pull-
ing the fastener out.

To install the cowling
Place the cowling in the original posi-
tion, then install the quick fasteners
and screws.
TIP
The quick fasteners are installed by
pushing out the center pin, inserting

the fastener into the cowling, and then
pushing the center pin flush with the
fastener head.
