1. Maintenance stand (example)
Since this model is not equipped with a
centerstand, use maintenance stands
when removing the front or rear wheel
or when performing other maintenance
that requires the motorcycle to stand
up right.
Check that the motorcycle is in a stable
and level position before starting any
maintenance.

Front wheel

The front wheel contains components
that are part of the anti-lock brake sys-
tem. To prevent ABS malfunction due
to wheel damage or improper installa-
tion, Yamaha recommends the wheel
be professionally serviced.
WARNING
Have a Yamaha dealer remove and
install the wheel.

The rear wheel contains components
that are part of the anti-lock brake sys-
