Med. Flush High Burn Procedure
Kindling:
Kindling for the high burn should be 3.8lbs (± 0.2lbs) making sure the weight doesn't exceed
what's allowed per the standard.
Around half of the weight should be 14''-16'' in length and ≤ ¾'' x ½'' major and minor. The
remaining weight should consist of pieces of the same length, dimensions of ≥ 1'' x 1'' not
exceeding 2''x 2''.
Start-up Fuel:
The start-up fuel should be five to six pieces with a weight of 5.7lbs (± 0.3lbs).
The length of each piece is 15-17'' with a major and minor dimension of no more than 3'' x 3''
Test Fuel:
The test fuel consists of five pieces, a nominal length of 15''. For the sake of hitting the target
weight, two of the pieces at a length of 16'', the remaining three are to be 14-14.25''these will
be the top pieces that fit in a North/South direction. Follow the fuel sheet guideline for specific
weights of the core and remainder loads.
