Remove the metal shield covering the old

drive.
Insert the new drive label side up onto the

cover so the screw holes line up.
Replace the metal shield.

Replace the screws that secure the cover to

the drive.
Slide the new hard drive into your

notebook, then replace the cover screws.
Insert the battery, then turn your notebook
18
over.
Connect the optional port replicator.

Connect the power adapter, modem cable,
and network cable.

Reconnect all peripheral devices and

replace any PC cards.
