2.4.2 Couch Set-up Verification When not Using Robotics
General Information
When ExacTrac or Robotics is not used for patient positioning, Robotics shall be aligned in its
center position. It is recommended to verify the correct alignment using the supplied water level
before patient treatment.
Refer to the technical data sheet provided with the water level for details regarding usage and
precision.
Safety Notes
Warning
It is vital to perform correct patient setup before any kind of radiation treatment (i.e., with
or without application of Robotics). You must verify sufficient precision of the current
patient setup prior to treatment. If performing treatments without using ExacTrac for
patient setup, verify the precision of the current patient setup using an appropriate
alternative measuring device (e.g., a digital water level).
Warning
The digital water level shall be calibrated on a regular basis, at least once a year under the
responsibility of the clinical operator.
