OT-013 – Powder loading arm – Adjust (RenAM 500Q/S Flex only)
WARNING: ENSURE YOU ARE WEARING THE CORRECT PPE: ESD SAFETY FOOTWEAR, EYE
PROTECTION, FULL-FACE RESPIRATOR (TO EN143 TYPE P3 + A1), PROTECTIVE GLOVES AND
FULL-LENGTH CLOTHING.
If a new, or different sized, feed hopper is fitted to the machine, the powder arm may require adjustment
to ensure the flask correctly engages with the feed hopper for powder loading. The powder loading arm is
adjustable for height, docking position and reach.
OT-013-01 – Height adjustment
1.
Remove the quick-release swing clamp, blanking cap and centring from both KF40 flanges on the
powder flask and hopper inlet.
2.
Fit an empty powder flask into the claw of the arm and attempt to rotate it until the flask is positioned
in line and above the hopper inlet.
3.
Measure the gap between the bottom of the flask KF fitting and the top surface of the hopper fitting
(Figure 166). The gap should be between 4 mm and 6.5 mm. If it is outside this range, continue with
the steps below; otherwise no adjustment is required.
