2.3.2 Detecting the Presence/Absence of an Original

The presence/absence of an original in the original tray is detected by the original sensor
(S6).
When an original is placed on the original tray, the light from the light-emitting side of
the original sensor is blocked, causing the light-receiving side of the original sensor to send
the original detection signal (DTS) to the ADF controller PCB, which in response turns on
the Original Set indicator.
When an original is detected
