    Introduction This document provides installation, configuration, and embedded web interface information for the Emerson IO-Link Master (IOLM). In addition, it includes detailed information about PROFINET IO (PNIO) and Modbus/TCP.     Installing the GSDML File Use the following procedure to install the GSDML file for PROFINET IO. Note: GSDML files are available at Emerson’s support site. Please see the links provided at the end of this document. 1. Launch PAC Machine Edition.

    A PROFINET IO controller can assign an IP address to the IOLM gateway via DCP. The IO controller and the Emerson IOLM gateway have to be on the same subnet. The IOLM default IP address is: 192.168.11.202 and the subnet mask is 255.255.255.0.

    RSTi-OM User Manual Section 3 GFK-3212A Jun 2021 3.4.2 Assigning an IP Address via DHCP The IOLM gateway supports DHCP for IP address assignment. DHCP is disabled by default. Use the following steps to enable DHCP. Note: The IOLM default IP address is: 192.168.11.202 and the subnet mask is 255.255.255.0. You may need to change your laptop or PC IP address range to access the IOLM web interface.

Once DHCP is enabled, the IOLM attempts to obtain an IP address from a DHCP server. If a new IP address is assigned by a DHCP server, then the IOLM switches to the new IP address immediately.

In addition, it contains procedures to update images (Section 4.2.1) and application sub-assemblies (Section0).

    Among other things, it implements a TFTP server U-Boot Bootloader and Emerson Corporation's discovery protocol. This verifies that a Linux kernel image exists in NAND, then copies it to RAM and starts the IOLM. The U-Boot version is displayed after the image name.
