Changing the input level of
the sound from connected
components
You can reduce the audio input level if
the sound from the TV/VIDEO AUDIO
IN jacks is distorted.

Press  to turn on the system.

Press DVD/USB MENU
(European models only) or
DVD/USB/TUNER MENU (except
for European models).
The current setting appears. (The
default setting is underlined.)
 ATT OFF: Normal audio input
level (attenuation is off)
 ATT ON: The audio input level is
lowered (attenuation is on).

To change the setting to the
other, press DVD/USB MENU
(European models only) or
DVD/USB/TUNER MENU (except
for European models) again
while "ATT OFF" or "ATT ON" is
displayed.
Enjoying the multi channel
sound with the optional
amplifier

Connect the digital optical cord.
See "Hooking up optional
components" (page 97).

Connect the speakers (not
supplied) to an optional
amplifier equipped with a
decoder.
For the speakers placement, refer to
the operating instructions supplied
with the connected amplifier.

Start playing a multi channel
source, such as a DVD VIDEO.

Select the desired audio format.

(page 38).
