hardware removal from the database by providing the serial number.

Add a storage controller

This procedure describes adding a storage controller to the ThinkAgile CP configuration, assuming a storage
controller has been previously removed.
Procedure performed by: Solution administrator, ThinkAgile Advantage Support
Step 1.
Physically install the storage controller in the storage enclosure and power it on.
Step 2.
ThinkAgile Advantage Support updates the VPD to maintain SN/UUID for entitlement. See "Update
the storage node VPD" on page 54.
Step 3.
Sign in to the primary interconnect with Chapter 4 "Support Mode" on page 13. Enter username
admin and enter the password set during the solution deployment.
Step 4.

Step 5.
In the Cloud Controller, register the storage blocks.
a.
In the Cloud Controller dashboard, select Hardware from the left menu.
b.
On the node that you want to register, click Register. The Register Node page displays.
c.
In the Storage Block Name field, enter a unique name for the storage block.
d.
In the Administrator Password field, enter a password for the manager account on the
storage block.
e.
In the Storage Pool drop-down, assign the storage block to a storage pool from the list.
In the Cloud Controller, storage resources (storage blocks) are organized into storage pools. A
storage block must be added to a storage pool for it to store application instances.
To crate a storage pool:
1. In the Storage Pool drop-down, select New storage pool ....
2. Enter a name for the storage pool.
3. Click Create.

Click Register Storage Block to complete registration.
g.
Repeat this process to register all remaining storage blocks.
Update the storage node VPD
