2. Location

Location: The pumped sidestream unit should be installed on a solid wall or fabricated skid/
support structure of sufficient strength to support the filled weight of the unit of c.23kg. Ensure the
minimum clearance requirements are followed to allow servicing of the unit.
Access and minimum clearance requirements: For emergencies and maintenance the pumped
sidestream unit must be easily accessible and have the minimum clearance around it as laid out
below in Fig. 2. Additional access to the front of the unit will be required to service the filter/unit and
programme/operate the controller.

Protection: The sidestream unit should be located in a dry, frost free area.
Ambient temperature: The sidestream unit should be sited in a location where the ambient
temperature does not drop below +2°C or exceed +40°C.

3. Key Features

1. Robust, mild steel cabinet: High quality, powder-coated cabinet providing simple, single-person
installation & re-installation, offering customers the flexibility to move one or more units from one
location to another across multiple locations.
2. MagnaClean CMX Nano Filter & Grundfos UPM3 Flex AS 130 Pump: This pumped sidestream
solution has been designed to provide complete flexibility across a plant room environment,
offering high performance, sidestream filtration when space is a premium and/or where it isn't
possible to install a filter across a pump on any heating or chilled system.
3. Grundfos Differential Pressure & Temperature Sensor: The integrated DP Sensor is attached
to the inlet and outlet flow via capillary tubes and monitors the differential pressure between
both outlets, providing alarms to warn about filter servicing requirements and blockages should
they occur. The sensor also monitors system temperature, providing both high and low system
temperature warnings.
4. ADEY DEK1001 Modbus (RS485) Controller: The integrated controller provides integrated
Modbus BMS connectivity and monitoring capability with programmable alarms, providing
automatic on/off control, service interval alerts, unit/pump failure alarms and system data logs
covering servicing, operational hours & pump activity.
5. LED Warning Light & Alarm function: The integrated warning light will flash and an alarm will be
sounded when programmable parameters are reached during operation.
