Strange characters printing

The text or the image on the screen appears normal but the printer prints
strange unreadable characters.

Printer Features
Simple, compact design
The light, yet sturdy construction of
the BJC-2000 allows easy set up
and operation, even for beginners,
and it will not require much space
in your work area.
Variety of print media
The printer produces superb colour printing
on plain paper or coated paper like Canon
High Resolution Paper HR-101, but for
professional jobs you may prefer one of the
many special media you can use with this
printer, like transparencies for OHP
presentations, back print film, fabric sheet,
glossy photo paper, high gloss film, or
glossy photo cards.

Check to see if BJC-55 Series printer is selected as default
printer
Select Canon BJC-55 Series as default printer.

Click Start, point to Settings, and click Printers.

Right-click the Canon BJC-55 and then click Set as Default to check
this selection on.
Macintosh

From the Apple menu, select Chooser.

In the Chooser, click the BJC-55 icon, then click the Close box.
