Installation

Mounting the Nivotester

The degree of protection of the Nivotester housing is IP 40, that of
the terminals IP 20. Where possible, the units should be mounted
in a switch cabinet or shady position
The limit switches use Minipac housings with snap-on fastenings
suitable for switch cabinet installation on a symmetrical (top hat)
rail. The rail corresponds to EN 50022-35x15 or EN 50022-35x7.5 .
Mount as follows:
Step Procedure
1
Latch the housing on the top of the rail.
2
Push home until the housing snaps on the rail.
The position of installation should be chosen such that the ambient
temperature does not drop below –20 °C or exceed 60 °C
Fig. 4 is an installation diagram for mounting several units together.
• The vertical spacing between adjacent rows of units must
exceed 25 mm.
• Units can be mounted flush with each other provided the ambient
temperature (measured 1 cm above the unit) does not exceed
50 °C.
• If a gap of 10 mm is left between adjacent units, an ambient
temperature of up to 60° is permissible.
• The minimum permissible ambient temperature is –20 °C.
