Calibration of Nivotester FTC 420 with an
uncovered probe
This calibration requires that
• the vessel be empty or
• the liquid/solid not be in contact with the probe
(at least 100 mm below its tip).
Adjuster for
switch point
Fig 10 shows the calibration controls for the Nivotester FTC 420:
• The hook switch matches the Nivotester to the capacitance of the
empty vessel. The settings are summarized in Table 3.
• The adjuster is used to set the switching point.
• The green LED indicates that the unit is operational.
• The red LED indicates that the relay is energised (off) or
de-energised (lit).
