Calibration
The calibration is exactly as described on Pages 31 - 33, i.e. for
• an uncovered probe
• a covered probe or
• with a variable level.
Proceed as appropriate:
Step Procedure
1
Check that the time delay adjuster is at the zero position.
2
Select the capacitance range as described on Page 32,
using hook switch 1.
3
If there is no bridge between terminals 12 and 13 of the
Nivotester,
- calibrate for minimum fail-safe mode as described in on
Page 32 with uncovered probe or Page 33 with covered
probe or variable level.
or
If there is a bridge between terminals 12 and 13 of the
Nivotester,
- calibrate for maximum fail-safe mode as described on
Page 32 with uncovered probe or Page 33 with covered
probe or variable level.
4
When adjusted, check that the unit is functioning correctly
by filling or emptying the vessel.
Now set the switching delay time at hook switch 2.
Step Procedure
1
Set hook switch 2 to the mode required, see Table 4.
2
Turn adjuster 2 clockwise to set the switching delay
(ca. 0.5 ... 20 s). The adjuster is not linear.
