You should center your servos before you hook them up to the pushrods. To do
this: Connect your servo to your receiver, connect your ESC to your receiver, turn
on your transmitter, and then connect your batteries to your ESC. Your servos will
move to a neutral position, assuming all of your radio trims are set to zero (0).
Slide a servo control horn over the Z bend, and then attach the horn to the servo so that

With the tail surface straight, trim the music wire 1/4" past the tail surface control horn.

Using the short wire you just cut, make a 90

Cut a piece of heat shrink tubing 1" long, and then connect the pushrod to the control

horn as shown.
You will notice that the short "L" shaped bend is the part that actually goes through the
hole in the control horn; and that the long pushrod wire is acting like a keeper to prevent
the L shaped wire from falling out.

10. Adjust the position of the "L" shaped wire so that the control surface is pointing straight
back. Shrink the heat shrink tubing with a soldering iron, and then set the position with a
drop of CA. If you need to readjust the position later, you can break the CA bond by
twisting the L bend wire.
11. Install the other pushrod using the same method.

You will need:
2 plywood landing gear reinforcements
Mountain Models SmoothE
to the pushrod.
Heat shrink
bend in the wire, 1/4" from an end.
